Firm History: 15 Years of Excellence
TANTARA is a certified small, disadvantaged, woman-owned 8(a) and HUBZone firm that has grown significantly over the past several years. TANTARA has employed as many as 45 people in the recent past.
Early remediation projects included abatement, UST removals, landfill closures, thermal treatment, soil removal, low-level RAD remediation,
and transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including:
> Work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) NAE at former Fort Devens in Massachusetts
> Mobile thermal treatment project at the former Fort Randall AFB in Cold Bay, Alaska
> Multiple site remediations in Belgium, France and Spain
> UXO remediation at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) and Camp Edwards ------------------------->
> Site remediation (completed for Providence Gas Company) for the
State of Rhode Island’s first MGP site remediation
TANTARA also performed remediation of more than 40 sites in Florida at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and Patrick Air Force Base that included remediation of a former NASA rocket launch pad. The past few years, TANTARA has expanded into heavy site-civil construction work.
TANTARA currently provides environmental remediation and construction-related services to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE),
and the Navy, the Coast Guard, the Air Force, the Air National Guard, the National Park Service, as well as numerous municipal, commercial and institutional private-sector clients. We own and operate our own heavy equipment.
TANTARA is accustomed to responding quickly to fluctuating workloads. As a small business in the remediation and construction industries,
TANTARA is very flexible in organizing and right-sizing our professional and construction staff to accommodate both increases and decreases
in backlog, and has the management structure and procedures in place to bring its clients the right resources at the right time and place.
We employ our own project managers, site superintendents, quality control and safety managers, heavy equipment operators, and laborers.
TANTARA’s business has always fluctuated based on seasons and types of projects underway, so we routinely work concurrent projects both inside
and outside of New England and the Northeast. In 2012, TANTARA’s reach expanded through the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
